A word from David Ringheimer, Teen Impact leader Teen Impact and Activities While many
congregations focus on fun and games for their teenagers,
Community Baptist Church believes…. Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first
the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you” Although it is very
important for your teenager to enjoy his/her youth, it is far
more important for them to seek God’s will in their life and
find the direction He wants them to go after they leave their
parents house. Many “youth groups” put the focus on the fun and
games and ignore the Word and the development of teenagers into
mature adult believers. Sadly, this is often the reason that
many young people don’t grow up and follow the faith they were
raised in. Each Sunday morning and
Wednesday evening we
gather together and study God’s Word. Often we discuss the
Biblical worldview of current issues that teenagers face and
discuss what God has to say about young people and the issues
they deal with. My wife, Lori, and I are always available
to listen to and counsel our teenagers in a group or on an individual
basis. We also make fellowship and fun a priority by
encouraging our teens to love one another and to fellowship with
other Christians as opposed to the world. We encourage our
teenagers to worship together and strengthen their relationship
with Jesus Christ and also make a strong commitment to reinforce
the beliefs of our congregation and our parents. Community Baptist makes
an effort to provide Godly activities for our young people.
Activities range from simple cookouts and devotionals all the
way to our yearly trip to the Wilds Christian Camp. We focus
much of the years extra curricular activities around earning the
funds necessary to send our teens to a life changing camp
experience during the week long summer camp. If you or your family
is new the Hixson/Dallas Bay area and/ or seeking a Godly place
of worship, may I encourage you to pray about Community Baptist
Church as a home for your entire family. I am

Sundays ~ Grades 1st - 6th ~ 11:00 a.m.
*Note: Children will sit together up front on the right side of the auditorium during the first part of the worship service. They will be dismissed during the last song to the fellowship hall with their leaders.
Patch the Pirate Club
Wednesday ~ Grades 1st - 6th ~ 6:45 p.m.Each month, your child will learn a character-building song written by " Captain Patch." Each song has a corresponding godly character lesson that is emphasized throughout the month. The music, scripture memory, Bible lesson application, fun pages, and my quiet time daily devotional guide are designed to work together to promote godly character in your child's life. The Great Commission is a personal Calling. Jesus calls every Christian to step out in faith and spread the Good News.
Michael Lyons , Head of Evangelism Outreach Programs at Community Baptist, is committed to teaching us ways to improve our skills to lead people to Christ
Brother Michael recently taught a six week course " Way of The Master " Training to teach us how to approach people with the gospel and see them saved.
The G.R.O.W. Ministry : Time to put our training to the test !
G.R.O.W. was designed so that all could participate in evangelism efforts at our church whether knocking on doors or in prayer and support for those who are !

Perry Stephens heads our tract ministry. Brother Perry found his way to Christ with the help of a tract..
It is fact that Brother Perry has both a passion and a burden for the tract ministry and has overseen the distribution of over 11,000 tracts at the rate of 1000 per month. |
Our congregation set the 1000 per month distribution goal 9 years ago and have met it each month since.
Our tracts are clear, easy to read, and deliver Christ's message of forgiveness of our sin, reconciliation with God and everlasting life through faith in him .
We are encouraged weekly with innovating ways to distribute these potentially life changing tracts.
